What is scion wood? What is the purpose of a rootstock? – And for that matter, what is a rootstock? In this demonstration, Charles Day talks about the reasons for grafting, the equipment needed, and shows how it is done.
About: Charles Day managed commercial fruit orchards in the UK for many years and spent several seasons grafting on a contract basis. Since moving to the US in 2000 he has worked as a consultant and was also a horticultural interpreter at Wave Hill until he retired in 2020.
